Challenge Reveal Friday: DIY Annual Planner

I hope you guys enjoyed our first reader challenge.  Thank you for all of the emails, I truly enjoyed seeing just how creative each and every one of you are!

I went from a planner last year that is now discontinued to an Erin Condren planner, which I did not fall madly in love with as originally hoped.  Maybe in my college days it would have been perfect, but does not fit the bill of a mom of two, business owner and organizer connoisseur.
For the big reveal!

Ta-da!  Here is my new now and forever planner by Emily Ley.  I am absolutely smitten with it!  Head over heals in love with this planner, if that is even possible!  And it is totally customizable to my needs.  Weekly, monthly, daily calendar, blog planner, exercise trackers all simply and elegantly made.  Be still my beating heart!  And it gets even better, her printable planner is absolutely free!  I was gobsmacked to find this out.  I had originally planned on ordering an Emily Ley bound planner, but they sell out so quickly and I missed out.  What a doll Emily Ley is for giving away such a gem of a planner.

I jazzed up my printable planner with a Martha Stewart binder, customs tabs made curtesy of my Epson Lableworks label maker in a lovely gold, cursive font for that extra elegant touch.

What I love about this printable diy planner:
  • Easy to accommodate your individualized needs, no more wasted pages. Can keep my blog posts and exercise tracker all in with my schedule.
  • Monthly, weekly and daily overview to keep you on schedule and ahead of the game.
  • Plenty of space to write, days do not run into each other.
  • Removable from binder.  No more trying to navigate around a spiral edge.
  • Clean, crisp white pages that unlock endless possibilities of colorful pens!

The only downfall I could see is its size.  I printed enough pages for the next few months and then will purge those and begin the next few months to limit the weight.  I am sure if you are computer savvy enough, you could reduce the size and utilize a mini-binder.  For me, I am not bothered by the size at all.  I love every aspect of it!

To add that special touch, I used one of my coveted Martha Stewart self-adhesive bookplates (which are discontinued, boo!)  to add the year on the spine of the binder.  This creates easy access to my planner when sitting on my desk shelves amongst the other binders.

Well, there you have it folks.  I have finally found my go-to planner from here on.  My only regret is that I wished I would have found it sooner!

I hope you have enjoyed our first week of Fabulous February.  Come back next week, I have so many fun projects coming your way!  Until then!
